So you’ve just delivered your precious babe and suddenly you’re peeing your pants, or having pelvic discomfort or a lack of pelvic strength.
Or, maybe you’re currently pregnant and hearing stories from your friends about all the pelvic floor dysfunction in your near future.
Neither of these things have to be a reality for you! We can help!
Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of attending a business building event with the Iowa Center for Economic Success, Women’s Business Center. (NOTE: If you have a business or want to have a business, you should absolutely connect with these people – I was so impressed). As always happens when I attend an event, I started talking about vaginas. 🙂
Between 5-10% of nursing home admissions are strictly due to uncontrollable urinary incontinence. This costs our economy SIX BILLION DOLLARS.
Since I talk about vaginas all the time, I am always surprised when I talk to women who have no idea that the pelvic floor muscles can cause all the problems they can! I talked to at least 2 women who had babies YEARS ago that are still experiencing pain and/or peeing their pants.
Since our real mission is to make sure you are all vibrant 80 year olds, doing cartwheels in your backyard instead of sitting in your wheelchairs in a nursing home, I must scare you with this statistic: Between 5-10% of nursing home admissions are strictly due to uncontrollable urinary incontinence. This costs our economy SIX BILLION DOLLARS.
I always wonder. What if all the women got to see a pelvic floor physical therapist after having a baby (or even before, so we could PREVENT some of the problems)? How much could we reduce this VAST expenditure (not to mention all the sadness and loneliness and loss of dignity that often comes with living out the remainder of your years in a nursing home) if EVERY woman rehabbed their bodies after the babies?
Even if it’s been 5, 10, 25 years since those babies were born, bodies can be rehabbed. Pelvic floors can work again. Pants peeing can stop (or be dramatically lessened), pains can be minimized. We need your help in spreading this message! Tell your pregnant friends!

If it’s time to get in here to get those muscles checked out- make an appointment. or call 515-954-7606. Get a friend (or your mom) to come too – it’s a lot easier to stick with your exercises if you have someone holding you accountable.
We hope to see you soon!
